The land of the Peregrine Falcon
This magnificent Kilpiaapa is home of Peregrine Falcon and here have been seen rare colony of Herring Gulls, Short-eared Owls, Hen Harries and Golden Ploverst , Swan, Grain, Bean Ghoose, Great Black-backed Gull, Little Bunting, March Harrier and Eurasian Hobby.
A nature trail goes through the beautiful forest where you can see or hear Goldcrests, Siberian Tit and Willow Tit. Duckboards leads you to the edge of 10th biggest aapamire in Finland. From the bird watching tower you can see also Golden Eagles, reindeer, moose and even brownbear!
